Lifts in Operation
Until the weekend the flyway of Atlantic frontal systems will be pushed away northward. The air stream over the Alps will turn south-westward, whereby warm subtropical air will reach us from the Mediterranean regions. High summer will return, although the approaching air masses will be muggy, the air layers will be unstable. Subsequently heat thunderstorms are already forecast at the weekend. Bright and warm high summer weather is expected starting next week. Due to increasingly southerly föhny effects in the mountains, the risk for thunderstorms will probably decrease.
