My first real 3,000m peak – Similaun

Summit happiness in the footsteps of "Ötzi"

You couldn't choose a better mountain for your premiere as a summiteer towards 3,000 meters plus. The 3,606 m high Similaun in the uppermost part of Ötztal lies on the border between North and South Tyrol and can only be reached by crossing an impressive glacier. Smugglers used to trudge along here, and "Ötzi's" path was also supposed to lead past Similaun. Today the mountain is your gate to the world of high alpine mountaineering – we will show you how.
