Here you continue towards the goods lift of Vernagthütte and further on across picture-book Rofner Schlucht gorge. The permanently ascending trail is very steep and demanding at the end, before you finally reach Hochjoch Hospiz.

From the hut you follow the steep footpath to the iron bridge over Hintereisbach brook. A switch-backing trail takes you up to the glacier fields of Hochjochferner and Schöne Aussicht mountain refuge which is located above the glacier.
