The hike starts in Niederthai at the car park Sennhof. From there you follow the always slightly rising forest path along the Horlachbach into the Horlachtal. After about an hour you reach the Larstigalm. The way is also easy for children and the elderly to deal with and for prams/buggies ideal. The Larstigalm has a small petting zoo and a playground for its young guests. There you can make yourself comfortable on the sun terrace. The hospitality of Ludwig Scheiber and his wife as well as the Tyrolean dishes, which are on the menu here, are especially appreciated by the numerous guests. By the way, most of the food is prepared with products from the own establishment. From the starting point in Niederthai or for the way back, there are as an alternatively offer the two mountain trails Grastal- and Bergmahderweg, but they are not suitable for prams / buggies.

Public transport
Travel safe and comfortable with the train to the Ötztal Bahnhof train station. Last stop and exit point is the train station Ötztal Bahnhof. Afterwards you can travel smoothly and quick with the public transport or our local taxi companies through the valley to your desired destination. Getting there
The car drive to the Ötztal valley. Situated in Tirol, the Ötztal valley set off in southerly direction and is the longest side valley in the Eastern Alps. The journey with the car leads you through the Inntal valley to the entrance of the valley and further on through the valley. Among the toll motorways you can also use the country roads.
