Wildspitze - 3,774 m

The Wildspitze mountain has been famous ever since Leander Klotz from Rofen and an unknown companion have conquered it for the first time in 1848. It became even more famous when the glacier priest Franz Senn was the first tourist to reach the summit. With the opening of the first trails and huts the first mountaineers came. This was the beginning of Alpine tourism in Vent.

Tirol's longest Alpine valley stretches 67 kilometers southwards between the Ötztal autobahn exit and the rear end of the valley with the biggest glacier ski area in the Eastern Alps.
