You don’t like a hustle and bustle? You don’t need endless slopes and ski runs? You can easily do without the racket on the slopes and booming parties on ski huts? Then Vent is the perfect destination for you! Where else can you still enjoy winter holidays like they used to be? We’re not getting carried away; here you can find true hospitality. The village has charm and flair – it is a dreamlike winter idyll. The motto of Vent is: small is beautiful – small but powerful.

There is nothing beyond Vent but mountains: the Wildspitze mountain, the Similaun mountain and many other 3000m-high summits and glaciers of the Ötztal Alps.

A snow-shoeing tour, e.g. to the sunny Ramolalm pasture, is one of the experiences in Vent you won’t forget. Already after a 10-minute hike you’ve reached a fantastic vantage point. The old and new part of the village spread in the snow-covered mountain landscape.

The tranquillity is breathtaking. The eye is magically drawn to Similaun mountain at the back of Niedertal valley, which towers above the main Alpine ridge. There is the beginning of the Italian Tirol Schnalstal valley, from where the ancestors of the inhabitants of Vent immigrated into the Ötztal valley. Nowadays shepherds with thousands of sheep cross to the pastures in early summer time. On the other side is the 3,774m-high Wildspitze summit, Tirol’s highest mountain.

If you spend your holidays here, you need not do without comforts and well-prepared slopes. The ski area with its double chair lift and three T-bar lifts is just smaller. It is perfect for families with children though, as long as you don’t expect hundreds of kilometers of slopes, speedy uphill transport and booming snow bars.
