Day 1: from Vent on the wide trail to Martin Busch Hütte hut (2,500m); continue in direction Niederjoch saddleback, cross the crevasse-free Niederjochferner glacier to get to Similaunhütte hut (3,019m). Back to Martin Busch Hütte, where you spend the night.
Walking time: approx. 4.5 hrs to Similaunhütte hut and approx. 1.5 hrs back to Martin Busch Hütte.
 
Day 2: from Martin Busch Hütte on a intermediately steep path, at the end steep path to Saykogel mountain (3,360m); from there steep ascent to Hochjoch Hospiz (2,413m), where you spend the night. Walking time: approx. 6 hrs; only for sure-footed hikers with a good head for heighs!
 
Day 3: from Hochjoch Hospiz on an easy path to Vernagthütte hut (2,755m); from there on Seufertweg trail to Breslauer Hütte hut (2,848m), where you spend the night.
Walking time: approx. 2 hrs to Vernagthütte hut and from there 2.5 hrs to Breslauer Hütte hut.
 
Day 4: from Breslauer Hütte hut (2,848m) an easy trail starts; later on a secured path has to be conquered to get past a small crevice to Wilder Mann mountain; descent across steep, rocky and secured terrain to Vent.
Walking time: approx. 4 hrs to the top terminal of the chair lift and approx. 5 hrs to Vent; only for sure-footed hikers with a good head for heights!

Day 1: from Vent with the double-chair lift to Stablein Alm pasture (2,360m); continue past steep and rocky terrain to the summit of Wilder Mann mountain (3,019m); descent past a small crevice to the secured path to the snout of Rofenkarferner glacier and to Breslauer Hütte hut (2,848m), where you spend the night.
Total walking time: approx. 4.5 hrs
 
Day 2: from Breslauer Hütte hut to Vernagtbachtal valley on Seufertweg trail (no major elevation); continue to Vernagthütte hut (2,755m); from there an easy trail leads to Hochjoch Hospiz (2,413m), where you spend the night.
Total walking time: approx. 4.5 hrs
 
Day 3: A steep path leads from Hochjoch Hospiz to Saykogel mountain (3,360m); from there an extremely steep, later on moderately steep path leads to Martin-Busch-Hütte, where you spend the night.
Total walking time: approx. 6 hrs, only for sure-footed hikers with a good head for heights!
 
Day 4: from Martin Busch Hütte hut in direction Niederjoch saddleback; across Niederjochferner glacier (no crevasses) to Similaunhütte hut (3,019m). From there a path leads to the finding site of the "Ötzi" Iceman. Afterwards the same path brings you back to Martin Busch Hütte hut. where you spend the night.
Total walking time: approx. 5 hrs
 
Day 5: from Martin Busch Hütte a steep path leads past the ruins of Brizzihütte hut to Kreuzspitze summit (3,457m). From the summit you can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the Ötztal mountains. Descend to Martin Busch Hütte hut; from there you return to Vent:

Day 1: from Vent you take the Wildspitze double -chair lift to Stablein Alm hut (2,360m); continue on the first moderately steep, later on extremely steep path to Breslauer Hütte hut (2,848m) or take a turn half-way to ascent past steep and rocky terrain to Wilder Mann mountain (3,019m). Descent past a small crevice to the secured path to th tongue of Rofenkarferner glacier and to Breslauer Hütte hut. From Breslauer Hütte you follow Seufertweg trail to Vernagttal valley; steep ascent to Vernagthütte hut. Walking time from Stablein Alm to Breslauer Hütte: approx. 1.5 hrs

Wilder Mann - Breslauer Hütte approx. 2 hrs

Day 2: an easy trail leads from Vernagthütte to Hochjoch Hospiz; continue on a steep path down to the bridge and follow the steep serpentines; later on you pass Hochjochferner glacier; a moderately steep ascent brings you to Schöne Aussicht summit.
Walking times:
Vernagthütte hut - Hochjoch Hospiz approx. 1.5 hrs
Hochjoch Hospiz - Schöne Aussicht approx. 3 hrs.
 
Day 3: descend from Schöne Aussicht to the village of Kurzras in the Schnalstal valley; from there by bus or taxi to Vernagt am See; from there across a first moderately sttep, later on very steep rocky terrain to Similaunhütte hut.
Walking times: Schöne Aussicht - Kurzras approx. 1.5 hrs
Vernagt am See - Similaunhütte hut approx. 3.5 hrs
 
Day 4: from Similaunhütte hut across the glacier (no crevasses) to Martin Busch Hütte; from there follow the wide trail to Vent or ascend on the steep trail to Kreuzspitze summit before returning to Vent.

Martin Busch Hütte - Kreuzspitze approx. 2.5 hrs

Day 1: from Vent past Hochjoch Hospiz; across steep serpentines; past Kesselwandferner glacier to Brandenburger Haus hut, where you spend the night.
Walking time: approx. 6 hrs
in the evening you can ascend to Dahmannspitze summit, which is a 0.5-hour hike from the hut.
 
Day 2: from Brandenburger Haus hut across Kesselwandferner glacier; in north-eastern direction to Obere Guslarjoch saddleback; ther you have to cross a steep corn-snow slope (icy at times); at the end less steep to Flutchkogel mountain; from there across the crevasse-covered Guslarferner glacier; descent to Vernagthütte hut; along Seufertweg trail to Breslauer Hütte hut, where you spend the night.
Walking times: Brandenburger Haus - Fluchtkogel - Vernagthütte approx. 3.5 hrs
Vernagthütte - Breslauer Hütte approx. 2.5 hrs
 
Day 3: from Breslauer Hütte hut past Rofenkar glacier to Wildspitze summit; descent past Mitterkarjoch saddleback to Breslauer Hütte hut (light luggage).
Walking time: approx. 6.5 - 7 hrs

Day 1: ascent past Martin-Busch-Hütte hut to Similaunhütte hut; continue to the finding site of Ötzi, the Iceman. Overnight at Similaunhütte.
